Twilight || The Light Edition

Picture this…the moonlight glistening in her hair, the gentle rocking of the waves as she leans into you and …gives you the best flex of the last half hour your life! Every city has certain events that can’t be missed and in DC, summer’s packed with them.  If you read The Carnival Hall Pass, then you know DC Carnival is one of them.  Another is my two homegirls’ birthday boat ride, Twilight!

If you’ve attended it before, you know exactly what I’m referring to.  It’s honestly a great excuse to dress up in your linens, and have the intimate cruise experience, inclusive of great food, alcohol and tunes from some of DC’s finest DJs. “Intimate”, because the capacity for the last two years has been around 125 people.

If you have no clue about this event sucks to be you but I’ve piqued your interest, take a look at this teaser from last year…

As sick as that vignette is, it doesn’t do Twilight justice!  Trust me…

This year, Sunday August 28th marks Twilight’s third anniversary.  Boarding is at 6:30 p.m. and (like last year), the boat pulls off from the Alexandria City Marina (Cameron & Union Streets, Alexandria, VA).  Oh, and did I mention that it’s an extra hour this year?  That’s right, departure is at 7 p.m. with a return time of 11 p.m.

Come enjoy sumptuous delicacies, the Twilight Signature Punch, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages all boat ride long.  And this year, Twilight – the Light edition comes with the tag line: “White, With a Splash of Color.”  Tell me that doesn’t just ooze yacht-chic!  lol!

You can cruise the night away for…

  • $60 until Sunday, August 21
  • $70 after

If you’re interested, link me for admission to the boat, and do it fast!  Due to the limited boat capacity, this is a first come PAID, first serve kind of event so requests to hold tickets will be respectfully declined!  And trust me, you DO NOT want to miss Twilight this year!

See you on the boat!
